I have not read this book but I have been drinking kale shakes for years. Yes they are a super food as far as I'm concerned with all of the health benefits but they are also delicious.
My personal favorite is kale, frozen banana, frozen pineapple and almond milk. When bananas are getting ripe peel them, break into 3 pieces (I probably freeze 6-8 bananas at a time in one large container) chunk your pineapple and freeze it too.
I use almond milk first, about a cup, 3 pieces banana, a handful of pineapple chunks and about 3 kale stalks...yummy.
People need to be aware...you do not use regular milk with kale...it can lead to kidney stones!!!!
I use almond milk, my personal favorite, but you can also use rice milk...any milk but dairy (from a cow).
I hope people find your book, enjoy it and reap all of the healthy benefits of these wonderful smoothies (because I use frozen fruits).
